Main responsibilities
As the lead designer and photographer for The Reserve, I was responsible for the full layout design and visual storytelling of each issue. I created cohesive page designs, curated imagery, and produced print-ready files that met high editorial standards. Working closely with editors and writers, I ensured every article was visually engaging and aligned with the magazine’s upscale tone. I also photographed key events and portraits, adding a personalized and professional touch to the content.

Workflow
Each issue began with editorial planning meetings to map out themes, article flow, and visual direction. Once content drafts were ready, I designed the magazine layout, balancing typography, imagery, and white space to create a refined and cohesive look.
I handled photo editing, custom graphics, and collaborated with writers to ensure layouts complemented the tone of each piece. After rounds of internal feedback, I finalised print-ready files and liaised with the printer to ensure a smooth production process. From concept to print, the goal was always to craft a visually elegant and reader-friendly publication.

As part of the design team, I contributed to the branding refresh of HKMOA—helping develop a visual system that balanced tradition with a contemporary edge. My work supported exhibition graphics, signage, and promotional materials that brought the new brand to life across the museum.
